MEET ERIC WEIDNER
Eric is a skilled financial operations leader, certified public accountant, and previously CFO of (3) companies, ranging in sales from pre-revenue to approximately $1 billion with multiple manufacturing and distribution facilities positioned worldwide. His expertise spans both financial and general business operations leadership within both the consumer and industrial products segments.
He has considerable experience building finance organization structures including people, location and operational strategy and optimization. This capability was originally developed through his involvement as a CFO with a complex carve-out of a business owned by GE and later CFO of the new stand-alone business acquired by a private equity firm. He also has executive leadership CFO experience with a venture capital-backed development stage company.
Business process definition, implementation, or improvement are his strong suits. He is a builder of best-in-class business management processes. He has the know-how and experience to analyze a particular company’s needs and create documentation to drive process discipline and the right level of internal control into any company’s culture with the goal of improving financial performance across every relevant measure.
Eric is especially comfortable with leading implementation of process discipline through: building business infrastructure from scratch (operational finance function); working through tough general management situations; and complex special projects. His experience with complex projects includes: due diligence required to execute acquisitions or divestitures and negotiation of all related terms, including valuation; entry into new product lines or customer segments, or exit strategies; and developing concise policies to stabilize organization decision making.
He is a graduate of Ohio State University with a BSBA in Accounting and holds an MBA degree from Case Western University.
