MEET ROBIN GHOSH

Robin is a versatile executive with leadership experience in business, government and public practice acquired over the last thirty-five years. He combines strategic and financial expertise and information technology acumen with vision, creativity and integrity and a results-oriented approach. In addition to financial and operational management he has applied been responsible for internal control, governance, negotiations, outsourcing and joint venture and property management.
Robin’s current focus is to provide general or financial management services to organizations seeking to improve planning, processes, controls and governance over their operations. He enjoys the challenges arising from projects involving business transformation, financial analysis and strategic planning.
Robin has served as interim CFO at a significant pharmacare agency where he implemented revisions to their costing, reporting and financial management systems and assisted in the implementation of a new program and a merger of operations. As Chief Financial Officer at a mid-sized federal crown corporation, Robin led the development of the strategic plan, transition of accounting standards, introduction of external quarterly reporting, development of the Deficit Reduction Action Plan, replacement of financial systems, lease and contract negotiations and restructuring of the investment portfolio.
Robin has provided financial analysis, accounting policy, internal control and risk assessment consulting advice to a range of organizations primarily in the public and not-for-profit sectors. Previously, at Canada’s largest logistics and physical delivery company he was responsible for valuation and investment planning for $4B in physical assets and financial management of a $1.5B facilities program. As National Director, Operations Finance, he exercised controllership over six regions and Production and Control Reporting for 23 Plants and delivery areas involving $3.7B revenue and expenses. He has held positions responsible for Corporate Development, Systems Integration and Internal Audit. At the start of his career Robin was a Senior Manager with Coopers & Lybrand where he engaged in financial audit, comprehensive audit and management consulting.
Robin served many years on the Boards of two significant Health Service organizations in the Ottawa area and as a member of the Advisory Council for one of Canada’s largest pension plans. He strongly believes in service to the community. Several years ago The City of Ottawa named Ghosh Park in the City’s south end in recognition of this community involvement. Currently Robin resides in mid-town Toronto where he is a Board member of his condominium corporation. Robin is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant and a Certified Public Accountant (Illinois). He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Carleton University.
